This video introduces viewers to the iRobot PackBot. Through an interview and footage filmed at a demonstration, we learn about the design of the PackBot, what it is typically used for, and we observe young students testing their skills with manipulating the robot.
Conservation efforts to preserve coral reefs are increasingly depending on the adaptive capacity of corals in the face of climate change. This video is an introduction to the SABLE project, which aims at promoting a conservation strategy that accounts for the adaptive potential of corals against bleaching. It features interviews with key scientists and researchers as well as footage of the UNESCO world heritage reef system of New Caledonia.
4Science was hired by the Dana Foundation to videotape an interview between its president, Caroline Montojo, Ph.D., and Jayatri Das, Ph.D., Chief Bioscientist at The Franklin Institute. Both scientists were in Washington, D.C., attending the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Society for Neuroscience. 4Science produced the interview at the convention center where the meeting was held. The Dana Foundation used the footage to create an episode in a series they are releasing about the importance of public engagement in science, particularly neuroscience, and the role of education in fostering meaningful connections between scientists and the broader community. The video was not edited by 4Science, but it features video we recorded.
