Whether you are hosting your next science event and need to capture some candid moments or you’re looking to create some still images behind the scenes in your lab, we know finding the right photographer can sometimes be a daunting task. Here are a few photography pros we have enjoyed working with over the years that we can recommend for your next project. All of the photographers listed below are located in the Washington, DC area. They are listed in alphabetical order.
Akari is currently a resident with the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. His photographs explore the diversity of human conditions and environments; how people interact with their surroundings and with each other. He hopes to uplift individuals and their communities through photography.
We’ve been working events with Ralph for almost two decades. He was a White House photographer during the Clinton administration and has worked with everyone who is anyone. He also photographed Heming’s wedding. He’s a brilliant photographer and has a personality to match.
We’ve shared many clients over the years with Rodney, working events with him and utilizing the corporate portraits he’s taken for our clients. We love working with Rodney and think you will too.
We met Hector in the late 90s, when he was a young photojournalist in DC, shooting stunning black and white photos with his trusty Leica. He’s still at it, documenting social, political and environmental issues in the U.S. and Latin America. His work has appeared in some of the most prestigious publications in the world, including National Geographic and The New York Times.
Lisa is a consummate professional. We’ve worked a lot of events with her over the years. She’s upbeat and friendly, never misses a shot, and also has a wonderful artistic eye. We can’t recommend her enough.
Amanda is a staff photographer at Arlington National Cemetery, but she is also an accomplished portrait artist and works especially well with kids. She is a veteran of school portraits and she photographed the bar mitzvah for Heming’s sons.
We’ve worked with Steve on several jobs, and we are particularly impressed by his corporate portraits. We especially admire the precision and care he puts into creating those images.
We worked events on Capitol Hill with Charles for many years. He has probably logged hundreds of miles and taken hundreds of thousands of photos in the halls of Congress. We think he may live there:)
